Our June event is shaping up to be the most exciting yet! Fashion and tech are both hot topics right now. We look at the overlap between tech and fashion - how tech can enable you to be more fashionable, and how fashion influences tech.

We have the most amazing speakers lined up for the event. We are just confirming the final speakers and format, but rest assured - anyone who is anyone in the world of fashion and tech is going to be there!

Anna Bance, Founder Girl Meets Dress

Suds Singh, Head of retail and eCommerce Poq Studio

Suds has been working with some fantastic fashion retail & eCommerce companies for the last 3 years. He’s also a Director /Co-founder of Personal Stylist in London a website which helps men look more stylish! He gets super excited about learning and trying out new things! At Poq Suds looks after medium to large fashion retailers. He has appeared on the BBC, ZDF (in Germany) as well as Sweden’s #1 Men’s Magazine Nelly!

Chloé Adelia Watts, Founder chloédigital

Chloé Adelia Watts is a web developer and has been for the past seven years. She loves to develop websites and has had a passion for coding and the powers of technology since young. With a deep love for fashion also, last year Chloé ventured out to create a place where the two could be combined harmoniously. She launched chloédigital, a boutique solution to businesses offering integrated digital services by fashion technologists  to develop and market fashion businesses.

Kal di Paola, Founder BuyMyWardrobe.com

Kal di Paola had 15 years experience in fashion as a designer and entrepreneur, before launching BuyMyWardrobe.com in Aug 2012.

Once a secret among London fashion industry insiders, with exclusive fashion recycling events held in upmarket locations around London, BuyMyWardrobe has evolved into an exciting new online destination to buy and sell pre-loved designer fashion.  Launched in August 2012 and devoted to making the experience of buying and selling pre-owned fashion exciting, stylish, inspirational and fun, BuyMyWardrobe’s mission is to change the way people view pre-owned fashion.

Amanda Baker, Founder PinkMothballs

25-year-old Amanda Baker is the founder of a new, free fashion-sharing app called
PinkMothballs. The app gives girls a new and fun way to borrow and lend clothes
with friends. Amanda is on a mission to help the fashionable (skint) student stay
on trend for nights out, without spending a penny. In 2011 Amanda was given the
opportunity to pitch her idea for investment to bring it to life. After five pitches and
a sixty page business plan she won the investment and launched PinkMothballs in
September 2012.

Jim Cruickshank, Founder Style Pilot

Jim is an entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience building consumer Internet companies. His current venture is Style Pilot, a men's fashion search engine, dedicated to helping guys improve their style. 

His previous roles include Director of Product Management on Bing Shopping & Travel International for Microsoft, General Manager, Multimap.com  and Group Marketing and Digital Director for GCap Media Plc. Jim founded and successfully sold an online property search business, Smove.com, to Norwich Union and went on to become Marketing and Commercial Director of NU’s property portals.

Jenny Griffiths, Founder Snap Fashion

Jenny Griffiths is the founder of Snap Fashion, a visual search engine for clothes. Tired of trawling the high street for celebrity-inspired looks and with the ambition of changing the way people shop, Jenny invented Snap Fashion’s fashion-finding technology whilst studying Computer Science at Bristol University.

Since graduating in 2005, Snap Fashion, her website and app that lets users search for and buy clothing from over 110 of the UK’s favourite retailers all from using a pictre or taking a photo, has featured in Vogue, Cosmopolitan, The Guardian and more. It has also won numerous awards, including Decoded Fashion and the Cisco British Innovation Gateway Awards and is a proud member of the Tech City initiative. Jenny is now working on a version of Snap Fashion for menswear as well as extra features for www.SnapFashion.co.uk.


Ayesha Mustafa, Founder & Director Fashion ComPassion

Prior to launching Fashion ComPassion, Ayesha worked as a marketing professional at Pepsi Co UK, where she looked after retail & online retail accounts like Waitrose and Ocado, and marketed the Pepsi Co brand portfolio to the key retailers. Before that, Ayesha has worked in PR and Communications and had a short stint of working at a New York law firm. Besides her professional area, Ayesha has worked with various NGOS and social development organizations (like Grameen Bank) that work towards literacy, women empowerment and community development. 

Ayesha has a BA in Politics & Economics from Mount Holyoke College, Massachusetts U.S.A and Masters in Media & Communications from City University, London.  Ayesha grew up in Karachi, Lahore, Cairo, New York & Dubai and currently lives in London. Besides her professional career, Ayesha is a Member of 85 Broads London Chapter, Fellow at the Ethical Fashion Forum and give her time to mentor women at Cherie Blair Foundation.


The format will be informal networking and mingling from 6:30pm, the feature talk(s) at about 7:15pm followed by more networking until 9:30pm.
